That is precisely the conclusion reached at Tecno Mobile several years ago, after conducting an extensive market study in Asia, Africa and Latin America. We are talking about a Chinese company, based in Shenzhen, that started operations in 2006 and that left behind the Asian and Latin markets to focus on Africa , something that apparently no manufacturer had done before, at least not to the same level.
Tecno Mobile offers an unbeatable quality / price ratio
Africa is a market where cheap mobiles are well received, Tecno Mobile has made this reality its pillar to expand on the continent . And not only that, they have had great successes attacking niches such as students, with the development of the iTel line.
And thanks to this growth, they now intend to enter the Latin market again, starting with Colombia and soon in Mexico . Who knows, maybe it could be the next big brand to grow to replace Xiaomi or another manufacturer.
Not everything is positive: Tecno has malware problems
Now that Tecno Mobile intends to reach other parts of the world, we could not miss a piece of news that months ago set off the alarms of many. Several Tecno mobiles have malware (malicious programs) pre-installed.
Particularly the xHelper and Triada malware. In the case of xHelper, this program is impossible to eliminate, not even by formatting the mobile. And they are there to take advantage of users’ personal data without them realizing it until it is too late.
