The new Poco X4 Pro 5G is now official, the latest proposal from Xiaomi’s low-cost brand. A smartphone with an aggressive value for money that evolves from its predecessor with a 108 MP camera, a new glass design and 5G connectivity.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G starts with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, with a 120 Hz refresh rate (360 Hz touch). It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, reaches a brightness of 1200 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Of course, the fingerprint reader goes to the side , on the unlock button, not under the screen.
At the helm we find a Snapdragon 695 processor , with 8 GB of RAM and a storage of 128 GB or 256 GB. Enough power for most gamers, one of the audiences Poco is targeting. The software is MIUI 13 slightly modified by Poco, and based on Android 11.
The design of the Poco X4 Pro 5G has been improved, with glass finishes , flat edges and a thickness of only 8.12 mm. We have a headphone port, double speaker and up to IP53 splash resistance .
In the Poco X4 Pro 5G a large 5,000 mAh battery is integrated, with fast charging at 67 W. That means that in 22 min it gets to 70% and in 40 min it reaches 100%.

In the new Poco X4 Pro 5G we find an advanced technical sheet at an adjusted price, as is usual in Xiaomi mobiles. Let’s see its full specifications:

Although the Poco X4 Pro 5G points to the mid-range, the 48 MP camera of its predecessor has been improved, which now reaches 108 MP , in the style of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 that we have seen recently. This sensor can stitch pixels together in groups of 9 , taking effective 12MP photos where it captures much more light.
These are the three rear cameras of the Poco X4 Pro 5G:
- 108 MP f/1.9: 1/1.5″ main sensor, with 2.1 μm pixel (9-in-1 mode).
- 8 MP : ultra wide angle 118º.
- 2 MP f/2.4 : macro at 4 cm.
On the front we have a 16 MP f/2.4 selfie camera located in a hole in the upper center of the screen.
Poco X4 Pro 5G, price and availability
The new Poco X4 Pro 5G goes on sale on March 7, 2022 in Spain, available in neon black, neon blue and Poco yellow colors. These are the prices and models available:
- 8 GB + 128 GB for 299 euros (launch for 269 euros).
- 8 GB + 256 GB for 349 euros (launch for 319 euros).
As usual for the manufacturer, during the launch of the Poco X4 Pro 5G it can be purchased at a reduced price for a limited time, only from March 7 to 9.
Of course, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is an attractive mobile , but with tough rivals. On the one hand, Xiaomi’s own Redmi Note 11, but also the Realme 9 family, which also has good hardware at a low price.
