Export the passwords that you have saved in LastPass

It should be noted that the version of LastPass for PC is in English by default. From here we recommend you change the language before logging in , because if you leave it in English, you may not understand the steps that we are going to show you below:

  • Access the LastPass website from the browser you use on your computer. Once inside the website in question, you must click on Login .
  • Within the login screen, you must enter the data that will allow you to enter your LastPass account, what data? Your email address and the password that you entered when creating an account.
  • Once the web page that will show you your LastPass account has loaded, you must left click on the option that says Advanced options , located at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Therefore, you must do a left click on the option that says Export , it is within the category “Manage your vault” .
  • A new tab will open in your browser, there you will have to re-enter the email address and password that you used to create your account. Once these data have been entered, you must click on the red button that says Send .
  • In a matter of seconds, LastPass will show you a tab called “Export”. Within this tab all the passwords that you have stored in said password manager are saved. Once there, you must select all the passwords , right-click and then click on the option that says Copy .
  • Once the passwords have been copied, you should open a new Notepad . You can easily do this by clicking on the start button in Windows 10 and typing the word “Notepad” (without the quotes) in the search engine.
  • With Notepad already open, you must right-click on it and then select the option that says Paste .
  • When you have pasted the passwords, you will have to left click on the option that says File .
  • A menu with several options will be displayed, choose the one that says “Save as” .
  • And finally, you will have to give the file the following name : “export.csv” (without the quotes). Once this name is written, you must choose the folder where you want to save the file with your passwords, and then left click on the option that says Save .

It is very important that you complete the last step perfectly, because if you misspell the name that the file should have, Bitwarden will not recognize it and this will prevent you from passing your passwords. In addition, we recommend that you save this file on your PC’s desktop, since this will make it much easier for you to find it.
