Now you can record the audio rooms on Twitter from your mobile

Twitter ya le permite a cualquier usuario grabar las salas de audio

A little over a year after Twitter launched Spaces, the platform’s audio rooms, the social network has surprised us with a new function for these spaces. In order not to lose ground to Clubhouse (another popular platform that offers this service) Twitter has announced that it will allow recording rooms , something that both its Android and iOS users can do.

Twitter already allows any user to record audio rooms

Twitter is used to giving a small preview of its news before officially releasing it. This is how, despite the fact that audio rooms reached some users in 2020 , it was not until the end of 2021 that any Android or iPhone user was allowed to use the Spaces function.

The same has happened with the recording of audio rooms, a function that was already available since last October for a limited number of users. But now, Twitter has decided to release this feature for everyone to use. This was revealed through the following tweet, where they also explain how to start recording an audio room .

As you can see, after choosing the name of the room and indicating the topics that will be discussed in it, the creator of the space only has to enable the recording function as shown in the tutorial. With these simple steps you can save the entire audio room conversation. In this way, users who did not participate in the direct have the opportunity to listen to the recording.

The recording will only be available for 1 month

While this new feature can be done on both Android and iOS, Twitter has set certain limits for it. The recording will only be available on the room host’s profile for 30 days after it is broadcast.

During this time, the user can share it with his followers or retweet it on the timeline. Finally, it has not yet been revealed if the recording will be allowed to be downloaded to share it on another platform . And you… What do you think of this new feature of Twitter Spaces?
