The manufacturer of Taiwanese origin, MediaTek, announced the launch of its new processors. After the presentation of the most powerful SoC for mobile phones, the Dimensity 9000, the company bets on two cheap high-end processors . These are the Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100, considered their “younger brothers”.
MediaTek seeks to offer power at an affordable price through a line of processors that has gained popularity in recent years. With the Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100, the Taiwanese company focuses on directly competing with the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870 . In other words, fighting in the range of not-so-expensive phones that can run Android games that require the most resources.
The main improvements of the Dimensity 8000 and 8100 chips
The Dimensity 8100 processor is comprised of four ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.85 GHz (2.75 GHz on the Dimensity 8000) along with four Cortex-A55 cores. In this way, it increases its CPU power by 20% (with respect to the previous generation) when playing video games, the manufacturer assured. And, thanks to its four-channel LPDDR5 memory , it guarantees ultra-fast data flow.
Also, being manufactured at 5nm, these Dimensity 8100 and 8000 chips offer over 25% more efficiency than previous Dimensity processors. In addition, they support a main camera of up to 200 megapixels. The new devices that include the Dimensity 8000 and 81000 processors will be released in the coming weeks , as stated by the Taiwanese firm.

Price and availability of mobiles with Dimensity 8100 and 8000
MediaTek reported that, in the coming weeks, the main Chinese brands will present their mobile phones with the Dimensity 8100 and 8000 chips. The prices will range between 600 and 800 euros . In this way, the Taiwanese firm is committed to gaining ground on Snapdragon processors.
In short, MediaTek places two chips on the market for new mid-high range devices with the aim of reducing their costs in the market . Both processors will improve gaming performance and multitasking thanks to their high-end power.
