The official presentation of the Xiaomi 13 and MIUI 14 was scheduled for this December 1. - OCR directly in the Gallery app : now you can select text from your favorite images to copy it and even translate it automatically.
- Improved Wireless Communications – It’s now easier to discover and pair wireless devices, as well as transfer their profiles and switch between devices.
- Family groups : MIUI 14 will allow you to create groups of up to 8 people to easily share photos, videos, health statistics and even make calls easily.
- Improved Mi Ai : Although Xiaomi’s voice assistant is rarely used outside of China, it’s now much smarter. It will be able to recognize objects, instantly translate calls, access more features of your mobile with your voice and filter unwanted calls.
- Improved MIUI 14 search : now it will be easier to locate any file, application or functionality within your mobile. Besides, a search history and filter are added.
- Do you want to use your mobile as your car key? MIUI 14 expands the compatibility that already existed, adding a bunch of new cars.
When will MIUI 14 be available on your mobile?
The first phones compatible with MIUI 14 will be the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, as they coincide with their market launch. Regarding the others, you should know a few things:
- Xiaomi has not detailed a roadmap with update dates to MIUI 14, although we do know the list of phones that will receive it.
- Remember that the priority will always be the highest-end and most recent mobiles , so if you have a mid-range device you will have to wait a little longer.
- Your smartphone could receive MIUI 14, but it will not necessarily update to Android 13 , since Xiaomi distributes them practically independently.
