To do this, it will check that you have a secure password, an email and phone number associated with your account, and it will recommend that you activate two-step authentication. If everything goes well you will pass the security test , but if not, Instagram will recommend you to make some changes.
Along with the above, Instagram also revealed that some users will now be able to activate double authentication using WhatsApp. It is a functionality that is in a trial period, but it will soon reach everyone.
In the same, Instagram detailed that it maintains compatibility with apps such as Google Authenticator and Duo Mobile, but with an extra: now you can manage the same account from several devices while using the double authentication factor, something that could not be done before.

Another feature coming to Instagram with this update is the ability to get more insight into your content and the reports you make. What does this mean? On the one hand, now you will be able to know in detail why Instagram deleted a post, if you are at risk of having your account disabled, and appeal those measures. Until now you could appeal any decision against you, but it was a headache to know the reason behind a deleted post or a suspended account.
Moving to the other side of the barrier, reporting of inappropriate posts that violate Instagram’s rules is now more comprehensive. In addition, you will also be able to follow up on each report you have made, to know if something has progressed or not.

- Reorganize your feed.
- Reorder and filter your content and interactions from newest to oldest, oldest to newest, and even by specific date ranges.
- You will be able to review the content that you have recently archived or deleted (a kind of trash can).
- You will be able to see the links you have recently reviewed and your search history.
- Know how much time you have spent within the application.
- Download all your information to have a backup.
You will find this new activity menu in the same place as always (Profile > Menu > Your activity) and, according to Meta, it is already available to everyone , but at the time of writing this article some users say they have not received the improvement.
