- Open the Spotify app that you have installed on your phone.
- Click on the tab that says “Your library” .
- Enter the playlist you want to make private .
- Click on the three vertical dots that appear below the name of the playlist.
- Go to the bottom of the menu and click on “Make private”.
- Confirm the changes by clicking on the green button that says “Make private”.
- If you did all the steps correctly, you will see a message that says the following: “ The playlist is now private”.

- Open the Spotify app for PC , or go to the web version of the platform . Once inside your Spotify account, you will have to select the playlist you want to make private .
