We already know all the details of the Honor Magic V , the first folding mobile of the Chinese manufacturer, which is committed to a very high-level technical sheet. As is usual in this format, by displaying the internal screen we get a workspace close to a tablet, while for a lighter use it has an external screen.
In both cases we are talking about OLED panels, the open interior is 7.9 inches with refreshment at 90 Hz (touch at 1,920 Hz), in a rectangular 10: 9 format. It achieves a brightness of 800 nits , with support for HDR10 + and 100% of the DCI-P3 color.
On the other hand, the new hinge design promises that we will hardly notice any gap between the screens, and in total the mobile will be only 14.3 mm thick (6.7 mm when opened).
The outer panel is 6.45 inches at 120 Hz (touch at 1,920 Hz), in an ultra-wide 21: 9 ratio like most current smartphones, occupying a worthy 90% of the front . Supports HDR10 +, brightness up to 1,000 nits and 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.
At the command we find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s most powerful chip for the beginning of 2022. It is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage depending on the version.
The 4,750 mAh battery offers fast charging at 66 W , these are high figures but not at the highest level, due to the restrictions that the folding format implies in the interior space.
Regarding the triple rear camera , it leaves out the telephoto sensor with optical zoom, probably due to lack of space as well, and incorporates a wide spectrum sensor that captures more colors than standard cameras.

- ToF sensor for depth.
For its part, two 42 MP video calling cameras are included, in two holes of the exterior and interior screens.
In addition, Honor promises great resistance for the Magic V , even dropping it from shoulder height in the presentation to demonstrate its ability to survive impacts.

The Magic UI 6 layer has been optimized for the Magic V, for example, with apps that include a side panel and a central area for content, which makes better use of space.
At the color level, the Honor Magic 3 will be sold in black, orange and silver with a pattern of lines that highlight its brightness.
The 256 GB storage model will cost 1,388 yuan (1,388 euros to change) and the 512 GB model will cost 10,999 yuan (1,527 euros) , although we will have to see what the prices are when it arrives in Europe and Spain.
The new Magic V comes to complete the catalog of the brand, which has already available the Honor 50 in Spain and Europe recently. Of course, the new Honor Magic V makes things difficult for its rivals , competing with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and also with the Oppo Find N and the Xiaomi Mix Fold.
