GetMyDeck, the best app to get an idea of when your Steam Deck will arrive
Previously, Valve allowed you to see how many Steam Decks are reserved and where you were in the pre-order queue. This is no longer possible, but the folks on the r/SteamDeck subreddit (more specifically user “Fammy”) created an app called GetMyDeck that works as a calculator for when your Steam Deck will arrive.
This calculator shows the progress Valve has been able to make in delivering Steam Decks based on your personal pre-order time and data shared by other users . It is not the most accurate way to know when you will receive your Steam, but it is the only way to find out based on real data and not forecasts without much support.
How to see your place in the Steam Deck pre-order queue
Follow these steps to use GetMyDeck to see when your deck will arrive:
- First, click this link from the browser or device where you made the Steam Deck reservation ( you must be logged into Steam ).
- A few lines of code will open. Note where it says ” rtReserveTime ” and copy the number next to it.
- Now, go into GetMyDeck .
- Where it says “In which region did you preorder your Steam Deck?” select the region in which you pre-ordered your Steam Deck . It can be US (United States), EU (Europe), UK (United Kingdom) and others will be added in the future.
- Then, in “Which version did you reserve?” choose the version of the Steam Deck you pre-ordered . At the moment, there are only three options: 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
- Finally, under “What is your reservation time” paste the number you copied in the first step of this tutorial.
- Before you see the results, click on “Remember me” so you don’t have to repeat these steps the next time you want to know how long until your Steam Deck arrives.
- Lastly, tap on the Get my preorder status button.
- You will see several results and a graph that can be very confusing (because it is), but the important thing is that you pay attention to the last data of the results that says something like: You’re 70.89% of the way there! . You will see it with a different number, because this percentage is the one that indicates how close you are to receiving the mail to complete the purchase of the Steam Deck and receive it. If the percentage is close to 100%, you are very close to receiving it, and vice versa.
