The only brand of HDMI dongles that manages to compete against those of Amazon and Google has just announced that it will launch its own Smart TVs this year. That’s right, in a press release, Roku just announced that its first wireless smart TVs and soundbars will hit the market this year. The best of all? Well, it seems that they will arrive with quite affordable prices.
Roku will launch its first Smart TVs: 11 models from €110
Until now, it was only possible to find Roku’s technology integrated into TVs from manufacturers TCL, Hisense and LG. But in this 2023 it will be possible to find the popular interface of the brand on Smart TVs designed by Roku itself.
According to the manufacturer, the first thing to be launched in mid-March this year will be the Roku Select TV , a model that will be available in sizes between 24 and 55 inches starting at $119, about €110 to change. In that spring the Roku Plus will also arrive in two sizes (65 and 75 inches) for a price that exceeds $999, about €940 to change. In total, there will be 11 Smart TVs and a wireless sound bar.
Now, unfortunately, Roku has not provided more information regarding the features and specifications of its smart TVs. This means that, at the moment, we do not know what the resolutions or the type of screen that these Smart TVs will use will be . The only additional detail that the brand has given is that the Roku Select TV will bring the Roku Voice Remote. For its part, the Roku Plus will arrive with the Voice Remote Pro.
We’ll be watching for new information about the first Roku TVs . And you… Do you think the brand will be able to compete against LG, Xiaomi, Samsung and the rest of the manufacturers that are betting heavily on the Smart TV market?
