If for some reason you want to reinstall CuteRank, like change computer or upgrade operating system, you will need to locate the database file (also the profile and keywords file) and move it to the location where you reinstalled CuteRank. Let’s see how to do it.
Rightclick the CuteRank shortcut on the Desktop
Click on “Properties” in rightclick menu
Click “Open File Location”
Find the file named data.db and backup it to a desired location and you’ll never loose your profile and keywords data.
For Windows Vista or 7 users, if you right-click on CuteRank icon and click menu “Run as administrator”, that means you allow CuteRank to run in admin mode, then CuteRank will use the same data file as the XP users which is the file “data.db” under the installed folder;
But if you run CuteRank without the admin permission, Windows system will not use the previous file directly, the system will create the data file “data.db” in another path, this path should be(depends on your user name):
C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\CuteRank
